We enjoy the challenge of information graphics.
Here are some of our favorites...
It has been reported that honey bees are dwindling in the United States. We were asked to do a general reporting of information about honey bees in America that could appeal to audience of any age. We researched different argicultural reports and consulted entomoogly experts to gather current information. We presented the information on the plight of the honey bee that could tell the story at a glance.
One of our clients is preparing documentation on bike safety, focusing on helmet safety. Many of their competitors used photography of injured children. Since the project is promoting safety, we decided to create positive images. By using illustrations, we avoid any troubling imagery.
Laguna Management was looking into developing properties in Florida. They needed maps of Florida and different counties on the East Coast. We created the map and chose colors that complemented the logo as well as evoke the feeling of Florida.
One of our clients wanted maps of the Province of Tomsk, southwest of Siberia. They were most interested in roads in the area such as cement roads, paved roads and minor roads. With quite a bit of research and the proper resources, we were able to create maps of Russia and Tomsk.
A consultant wanted particular imagery for his website. Our conversation went from memories of the family home in Maine to the landscape and lighthouses. We researched the lighthouses of Acadia. With each lighthouse, we researched the height, the reach of the light from the Fresnel lens. and the location. With that information, we developed simple processing images to convey the idea of reaching out to a large community and guiding them.
